The first thing to consider is the ship Which parts should I be prioritizing for in terms of upgrading? The hull, the deck items and the rudder as well as the ram (the slot in the front of the ship; I'm not sure what it's called)

Personally I always get the deck items first , because there's two. When you're planning to undertake the Seafaring cruise for instance, it's a lot more beneficial with two Seafaring enhancement deck items rather more than the bonus that the hull provides. Some will argue that the rudder is superior because it'll save you time allowing you to do more voyages/day, I can't argue against that, however I've always performed ports in a much more relaxed and buy OSRS GP comfortable manner which is why I always put the it last.
